Resources, Support, and Events
Your support helps restore Puerto Rico’s food security and agricultural independence. Whether you give your time, resources, or voice, you’re making a real difference. Every seed we plant is a step toward a stronger, self-sufficient Puerto Rico. Together, we are rebuilding our local food system and ensuring that fresh, organic food is always available for our communities. Here’s how your support will help us make a difference:
- More Fresh, Organic Food – Every acre we farm means more families get access to clean, non-GMO produce.
- Stronger Local Agriculture – By reducing reliance on imported food, we are creating a self-sustaining food economy.
- Empowered Communities – Volunteering and education ensure more people learn to grow their own food.
- A Greener Future – Sustainable, chemical-free farming protects Puerto Rico’s land and water for generations to come.
This farm belongs to everyone who believes in a stronger, self-sufficient Puerto Rico. Whether you volunteer your time, donate to support the mission, or help spread awareness, you are part of something bigger. Together, we will revive our roots and feed our people.

Frequently asked questions
Not at all! No experience is necessary—just a willing heart and a respect for the land. We provide basic guidance and supervision to ensure every volunteer feels comfortable and learns as they go.
Yes. Volunteers must be at least 16 years old to work on the farm, and those under 18 must have permission from a parent or guardian. We encourage families to get involved—there may be light tasks suitable for younger children during community events.
Wear comfortable, modest clothing you don’t mind getting dirty, closed-toe shoes or boots, and a hat for sun protection. We recommend bringing a refillable water bottle, sunscreen, and garden gloves if you have them.
It is always a good idea to bring your meal unless otherwise noted. We typically provide drinking water and light snacks. Occasionally, we provide a simple meal. When you volunteer, you will receive an email stating what Taino Seeds will provide for the day.
You will be offered a hands-on opportunity to explore organic farming, reconnect with the land, and embrace sustainable living. Along the way, you’ll meet local community members, build friendships, and deepen your connection to Puerto Rico’s roots. Taino Seeds will discuss farm tasks to ensure that you find a place that suits you.

Yes—we strongly recommend it. Before working on the farm or helping with food distribution, it’s important to ensure you’re protected. The right insurance helps you stay safe and worry-free so you can focus on learning, connecting with the land, and supporting Puerto Rico’s future.
